I enjoy learning, but I often feel like I don't take in alot of what I 'learn' everyday while doing school work. So..Every Thursday I will be posting something new that I learned for that day.
In the late 18th century, France suffered from a severe financial crisis. Etienne de Silhouette, the French finance minister, introduced a drastic economic policy, ordering that all luxuries be eliminated and that even pictures be reduced to a simple black outline. So that is where the word silhouette came from.
I thought that was pretty cool. I am doing vocabulary at the moment and the word is silhouette, so that's where I got it. Tell me if you enjoy this. Thanks! :-)

Starting again?
My friend Nikole just started with this competitive colorguard group called 27th Parallel. I've seen their work before and have been totally in love with it. I considered trying out a few years ago, but never really took any action. Then my love for colorguard faded away alittle over a year ago. With Nikole telling me about 27th Parallel it has really gotten me interested. Now I am planning on attending a practice on October 1st to participate with them to see if I like it. I am ecstatic to be able to have this opportunity. I have alot of good memories from my colorguard years, but the best memories come from my freshman year. Nikole said that if I loved freshman year, then I am bound to love this. Needless to say, I am excited and praying that God will show me something through this.

Expect the worst. Hope for the best.
Those are words from my wonderful Grandma earlier today. She always knows what to say at the right time. But that is what I am doing. I wish Ms. Hanna Montana would make her mind up already. I know that God is bigger than any tropical storm or hurricane. If He wanted to just throw this thing across the ocean, He can. I am trusting that He will do what he wants to with this storm and whatever it is, I will have to be content with it. So far He has worked things out perfectly, even when we thought they wouldn't work out. I can't say that I am completely confident that this will work out, but I am trusting God to the best of my ability.
